Add Subjects

 

The Display Name is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter a Description for the Subject. Should the user not enter a Display Name and attempts to Save () the information, the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

 

The Alternative  Name for the Subject is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter a Description for the Alternative  Name . Should the user not enter a Alternative Display Name and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

Note:  The Alternative  Name is used for Reporting and Exporting purposes. On the Student Profile,

Academic Tab, the user has the option to select the Use  Alternative Language. When this

option is selected, the Alternative Name that was entered will be used for the Reporting and Exporting.

 

The Abbreviation for the Subject is a Required field ().  Should the user not enter an Abbreviation and attempts to Save () the information, the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

Should the Subject be Examinable, Left Click the Is Examinable Check Box. When this is done the Check Box will display a Check mark (). This is a Value that is used for Lurits* reporting.

The user selects the Language Type by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done, a list of available Language Types will be displayed. Select the applicable Language Type by Left Clicking on it in the list.

The user selects the Language by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done, a list of available Languages will be displayed. Select the applicable Language by Left Clicking on it in the list. Should the user want to enter a New Language, it is done by Left Clicking on the Add  Button (). When this is done the Add Language Page will be displayed - Refer to the Administration Module - Administration / Setup / Language.

The External Code is a Free-Field Code that allows Unique Identification when comparing this collection of records to another collection.

Primarily used for Import or Export.

The External Code is not required

The User may enter Remarks pertaining to the Subject being added.

 

When all information has been entered, the Subject is saved by Left Clicking on the Save Button (). Should the user want to Cancel the Add Action, Left Click on the Cancel Button ().
