Note:  The #NAME function can be used in comments. The #NAME automatically insert the student's name when used in a comment.

Subject

1. Subject
Comments can be linked to specific Subjects. This will enable the user to do reporting on Comments per Subject. The user selects the Subject by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Subjects will be displayed. Should the user want to enter a New Subject,  it is done by Left Clicking on the Add  Button (). When this is done the Add Subject Page will be displayed - Refer to Add Subjects.

Code

2. Code
 
The Comment Code is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter a Comment Code . Should the user not enter a Comment Code  and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.
 
 
Comment Codes can consist of Numeric and Alpha Numeric Characters.
 
Examples of how to setup Comment Codes:
 
To keep all Mathematic Comments together, naming can be done as follows:
 
MATH1
MATH2
MATH3
MATH4
 
To keep all Science Comments together, naming can be done as follows:
 
SCI01
SCI02
SCI03
 
To keep all General Comments together, naming can be done as follows:
 
GEN01
GEN02
GEN03

Comment

The Comment for the Code is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter a Comment for the Code . Should the user not enter a Comment and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

Alternative Comment

4. Alternative Comment
Note:  The Alternative  Comment is used for Reporting and Exporting purposes. On the Student Profile,
 Academic Tab the user has the option to select the Use  Alternative Language. When this option
is selected the Alternative Comment that was entered will be used for the Reporting and Exporting.
 
The Alternative  Comment for the Code is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter an Alternative Comment for the Code . Should the user not enter an Alternative Comment and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

Save / Cancel

5. Save / Cancel
When all information has been entered the Comment is saved by Left Clicking on the Save Button (). Should the user want to Cancel the Add Action, Left Click on the Cancel Button ().
