Add Items

Note: The system automatically generates a Serial Number for the Media Item that is being Created.

                        The format that is used is YYMMDDHHMMSS. The Serial Number can be changed by the User.

                        This Serial Number will be used to print the Bar Code for the Media Item.

 

The Serial Number is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter a Serial Number for the Media Item. Should the user not enter a Serial Number for the Media Itemand attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

 

The user can enter a Purchase Price for the Media Item. This value will be used as the Asset value the Finance Module.

The user can enter a Purchase Date by making use of the Date Picker. The Date Picker is displayed by Left Clicking on the Drop Down Button (). When this is done the Date Picker will be displayed. Select the applicable date by Left Clicking on the date in the Calendar.

                         be changed by the User.

 

The Accession Number is a Required field ().  The user needs to enter an Accession Number for the Media Item. Should the user not enter an Accession Number for the Media Item and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

The Editions of the Media Items are specified. The user needs to enter an Edition for the Media Item. Should the user not enter an Edition for the Media Item and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

The user needs to identify the Cover of the Media Item. The Cover is  a  Required field ().  The user selects the Cover by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Covers will be displayed. Should the user not Select a Cover  and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication  () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

 

These codes specify the origin of the Media Items. The user needs to enter the Origin of the Media Item. The Origin is  a  Required field ().  The user selects the Origin by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Origins will be displayed. Should the user not Select an Origin  and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication  () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

 

The Status specifies if the Media Items are available, returned, out for the next period or damaged. The user needs to enter the Status of the Media Item. The Status is  a  Required field ().  The user selects the Status by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Status will be displayed.

 

Should the user not Select a Status  and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication  () that this is compulsory information.

 

 

Adjust the value as desired such that it accurately reflects the item being added.

When all information has been entered the Media Item is saved by Left Clicking on the Save Button (). Should the user want to Cancel the Add Action, Left Click on the Cancel Button ().
