Student Grade

1. Student Grade
The Student Grade is  a Required field ().  The user selects the Student Grade by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Student Grade will be displayed. Should the user not Select a  Student Grade  and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication  () that this is compulsory information.
 
Select the applicable Student Grade by Left Clicking on it in the list. Should the user want to enter a New Student Grade it is done by Left Clicking on the Add  Button (). When this is done the Add Student Grade Page will be displayed (Refer to Add Grades).

Result  Type

2. Result  Type
 
The user selects the Result Type by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Result Types will be displayed. Select the applicable Result Type  by Left Clicking on it in the list.
 
 
Note:  Should the user not select a Result Type, the Rule will be assigned to Cycle, Year and
Promotion.

Min Total Promotion Score

3. Min Total Promotion Score
 
This Min Promotional Scores will be used to determine if a student will be Promoted or Not. The Total Score that will be compared against the Min Promotional Score to determine what the Promotional Outcome is, is the Total of the Promotional Scores, for the Subjects that will be included in Max Promotional Subjects. This Scores for the Different Subjects and Symbols were defined on the Subject GradesRefer to Subject Grade.

Max Promotion Subjects

4. Max Promotion Subjects
 
This is the Number of Subjects that will be used to Calculate the Min Total Promotional Score. Should the user for example specify the Max Promotion Subjects are to be 3, the top three subjects scores will be used to calculate the Min Total Promotion Score.

Execution Priority

The Execution Priority determines the order in which the Promotion Rules are executed.
 
The  Execution Priority   is Required field ().  The user needs to enter a numeric value for the Execution Priority. Should the user not Select a  Student Grade  and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication  () that this is compulsory information.

The user needs to enter a Promotion Result for the Promotion Rule that is being created
The Promotion Result is a Required field ().  The user selects the Promotion Result by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Promotion Results will be displayed.
 
Should the user not Select a Promotion Result and attempts to Save () the information the system will give an indication  () that this is compulsory information.
 
Select the applicable Promotion Result  by Left Clicking on it in the list. Should the user want to enter a Promotion Result it is done by Left Clicking on the Add  Button (). When this is done the Add Promotion Result  Page will be displayed (Refer to Add Promotion Result).

Promotion Result Adjusted

8. Promotion Result Adjusted
The user needs to enter a Promotion Result Adjusted for the Promotion Rule that is being created.
 
The Promotion Result Adjusted will come in to effect in the event the Promotion Rule does occur and the relevant Student vs. Subject Grade has a Promotion Adjustment Value and Maximum Adjustment Value thus the Promotion Result Adjusted will be allocated instead of the Promotion Result owing to the fact the Result has occurred with an Adjustment Value.
The Promotion Result is a Required field ().  The user selects the Promotion Result by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Promotion Results will be displayed.
 
 
 
Select the applicable Promotion Result Adjusted  by Left Clicking on it in the list. Should the user want to enter a Promotion Result it is done by Left Clicking on the Add  Button (). When this is done the Add Promotion Result  Page will be displayed (Refer to Add Promotion Result).

Save / Cancel

9. Save / Cancel
 
When all information has been entered the Promotion Rule is saved by Left Clicking on the Save Button (). Should the user want to Cancel the Add Action, Left Click on the Cancel Button ().
