Symbol Example

Example - The user wants to create the following Batch of Symbols:

A+	90	100

Note:  In the following example, we will start using the number 1 as the Abbreviation. The system will then assume that the next Symbol will be 2 and then 3 and so on. As we want the top symbol to be A+, we cannot start off using A+, as the system will not know what the next symbol in line will be. Thus we use a trick by starting off naming the Symbols 1,2,3 etc, then changing them later to suit our need.

 

 

Left Click the Add Symbol Button. When this is done the Add Symbol Page above will be displayed. The Abbreviation is the Symbol of the first entry that will be created. For this example the Value for the Symbol will be 1.

 

The Minimum Percentage will be 90% as the 100%  value is by default  included by the system as the Maximum Percentage that can be entered.

 

The Number of Copies that should be created is 7 - according to the table above.

 

The difference (or interval) between the values for the creation of the batch is -10. The reason for the -10 being that the system has a built in maximum Percentage of 100 %, which is the starting point for calculating the intervals. Calculation is thus top down.

When all information has been entered the Symbols are created by Left Clicking on the Create Button (). When this is done the page below will be displayed. As can be seen the Symbol values have been created as required in the table above. 

 

 

The Abbreviations are not correct. The Abbreviation are Edited by Left clicking on the abbreviation in the list. The correct Abbreviation can now be entered.

 

 

Note:  Both the Abbreviations and Min Percentage values can be Edited by Left clicking on the Abbreviation

or Min Percentage values in the list. Should the user change a Min Percentage value in the list, the

system will automatically recalculate the rest of the values in the list.
