Symbols

Symbols
 
Notes:  (1)  Symbols are used on report cards.
 
 (2)  Symbols are declared per Grade per Level. Any number of Symbols can be declared per grade.
 
  (3) The Copy function is available to assist with the quick setup of Multiple Symbols per Level.

Grade

1. Grade
 
Note:  The user could have created the Student Grade making use of the Add Grade Menu Option -
Refer to the Administration Module - Management / Setup / Grade.
Note:  When a Grade and Level is selected and Symbols have been allocated to the selected Grade/Level, it will be displayed in the grid.
 
The Student Grade is a Required field ().  The user selects the Student Grade by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Student Grades will be displayed. Select the applicable Student Grade by Left Clicking on it in the list. Should the user want to enter a New Student Grade, it is done by Left Clicking on the Add  Button (). When this is done the Add Grade Page will be displayed (Refer to the Administration Module - Management  / Setup / Grade).

Level

2. Level
 
Note:  If Promotion and Tertiary scores are different per level then symbol setups needs to be done per level.
Note:  When a Grade and Level is selected and Symbols have been allocated to the selected Grade/Level, it will be displayed in the grid.
 
The Level is a Required field ().  The user selects the Level by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Levels will be displayed. Select the applicable Level by Left Clicking on it in the list.

Symbols per Subject

3. Symbols per Subject
 
Should it be necessary Symbols can be defined per Grade/Level/Subject. Should this be the case the user needs to Check the Symbols per Subject Check Box. When this is done the Subject List Box will be displayed. The user selects the Subject by Left Clicking on the Drop Down List Box (). When this is done a list of available Subjects will be displayed. Select the applicable Subject by Left Clicking on it in the list.

Copy

4. Copy
 
Should Symbols have been declared for a Grade / Level, and these Symbols are applicable to another Grade / Level, the Symbols can be Copied to other Grades / Levels by making use of the Copy function. Select the Symbols that should be Copied by Left Clicking on the Symbol Selection Check Box (). When this is done the selected Symbols will be Highlighted and a Check Mark will be displayed (). Once all Symbols, that should be Copied, have been selected the, Left Click on the Copy Button and Refer to Copy Symbols.

Add

5. Add
 
To  Add a Symbol, Left Click on the Add Button and Refer to Add Symbol .

For Adding, Editing,  Removing, Printing, Filtering etc. of Symbol Records, Refer to  GENERAL TOOLBAR MODULE.
