Batch Return
Note: This is the page is used for Returning Multiple Media Items from multiple Learners / Educators.
The user does not have to select a specific Learner / Educator and then select the Return Tab
for each Media Item that is Returned. When this Menu Option is selected the user is able to
either scan or enter Media Item (Book) Serial Numbers, one after the other.
 Batch Return Process
When the Page is Opened a List of Media Items that have been Returned will be displayed - Last Media Item Returned will be the First Media Item in the list. Multiple Media Items are Returned by Scanning or Entering the Media Item Serial Numbers (The Serial Number for the Media Item is entered on the Media Titles - Items Tab - Refer to Items) one after the other.
Should the user scan or enter a Serial Number of a Media Item the system will Validate the Serial Number. Should the user scan or enter an invalid Media Item Serial Number the system will give an indication of this:
Should the user scan or enter a valid Media Item Serial Number, to be Returned, a Return record will be created and will be the First Record the List. At the same time the Status, of the Media Item, on the Learner / Educator will be changed to Returned for the specific Media Item. Should the user go to the specific Learner / Educator the Media Item will not be displayed in the Learner / Educator List of Media Items that are on Loan. When looking at the History Tab on the selected Learner / Educator the Media Item will be displayed in the List with a Return Date.
